Buhari mourns, extends “deepest sympathies” to Pastor Adeboye on sudden death of 42-year old son

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday extended his “deepest sympathies” to the family of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), on the passing of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye.

In a statement by Presidential Spokesperson, Femi Adesina, President Buhari also commiserated with members of the RCCG on the demise of the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35, urging them “to find comfort in the teachings of the Holy Scriptures that those who have chosen to serve God faithfully will see Him as He is in eternity.

“The President prays God Almighty to grant the departed rest in His everlasting kingdom and comfort grieving family, friends and associates.”

The 42-year-old, who is the third son of Pastor Adeboye, died in his sleep on Wednesday in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he was based with his family.

The young Pastor, who had ministered the previous day, was said to have retired to his bed and did not wake up.

His wife, Temiloluwa, was said to have raised the alarm with a source saying that “he was not sick and did not complain of anything before the incident. Pastors in the church were summoned to pray for him, all to no avail.”

Dare would have been 43 years old next month, June.
