FG suspends Twitter operations in Nigeria, escalating war with microblogging network

The Federal Government has suspended, indefinitely, the operations of microblogging and social networking service, Twitter, in Nigeria.

Twitter had last Wednesday deleted President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet on his “genocidal” threat to to the Igbos.

They followed up on Thursday with blocking the entire video of the President’s statement.
