Nigeria: Terror bandits invade herders settlement, kill Fulani leader, 2 others

Kaduna State Commissioner Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, on Friday night confirmed the “tragic” invasion of a Fulani Herders Settlement and the killing of three Fulani community leader, a herder and another person.

Security reports indicated that the killings started when bandits invaded the herders’ settlement at Rugan Mati in Giwa Local Government Area of the state, killing one Shuaibu Mati.

The terror bandits also reportedly invaded Tudun Amada Wazata in Kadage, where one Samaila Mai Yankan Katako, was murdered at his residence.

In yet another attack, one Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi, a Fulani community leader in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna, was murdered.

The victim was said to have been abducted from his residence in the early hours of Friday. His abductors reportedly demanded ransom payment which he could not pay, making the evil bandits to lead him to a highway where he was shot dead.

Commissioner Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said that Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed sadness over the killings and sent condolences to the families of the victims.
