Nigeria: ISWAP terrorists invade Gatawa village, Sokoto State, kill 24 residents, abduct many, loots foodstuff, other valuables

Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists on Tuesday night killed about 24 residents and abducted several others in Gatawa Village in Sabon Birni Local Government Area (LGA) of Sokoto State, Northwest Nigeria.

The attack on Gatawa village came barely 24 hours after the terror bandits invaded the Gangara community in the same Sabon Birnin LGA of Sokoto, killing many and abducting others.

A source said that the attack and abduction in Gatawa village took place around 11.50pm on Tuesday September 28 when the terrorista stormed the community on motorcycles and started shooting sporadically.

In the process, the source said, the terrorists and bandits killed about 24 locals, while also kidnapping an undisclosed number of residents.

The attackers then proceeded to some houses and looted foodstuffs and other valuable items.
