ISWAP terrorists raid Borno hospital, stole drugs and other medical consumables, set telecoms mast on fire

Islamic States of West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists on Wednesday invaded a community hospital and burnt down telecommunications mast in Magumeri Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State, Northeast Nigeria.

Magumeri is about 40 kilometers from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

A witness said after storming the headquarters of the local government, the terrorists started firing at all directions.

Another source confirmed that the ISWAP terrorists stole some drugs and other medical consumables.

The source noted that the terrorists divided themselves into two groups on invading the hospital, saying that while one group engaged the military in exchange of gunfire, the other group of ISWAP fighters sneaked into the hospital to steal drugs, a refrigerator and some bedsheets.

“They attacked the town from behind, burning down Airtel Mast and ransacking the hospital. They went away with drugs, a refrigerator and some bedsheets,” the source said.
