Nigeria: Katsina State Police foils bandits’ attack, rescues 11 abducted victims, rustled livestock

The Katsina State Police Command, Northwest Nigeria, has foiled bandits’ attack at Gidan Duka village, Kankara, recovering thirty-eight cows, eleven sheep and a Bajaj motorcycle.

In the same vein, security operatives engaged bandits in a gun battle at Sabon Garin, rescuing 11 abducted victims. The abductees have been reunited with their families.

Sources confirmed that on Sunday, November 14, around 2.30am, several bandits armed to the teeth with AK47 rifles had attacked Gidan Duka village.

Security operatives however foiled the attack and intercepted the criminals at Danmarabu village. A fierce gun duel ensued and the bandits escaped into the forest abandoning all their loot.

The recovered items include 38 cows, 11 sheep and a Bajaj motorcycle belonging to the bandits. Efforts are on top gear to nab the fleeing criminals.
