Local sources have also confirmed that bodies of “neutralized” bandits were seen all over the camps just as the bandits’ means of economic sustenance were destroyed while “fleeing bandits were also trailed and neutralized.”

According to the source, “there are strong indications that air strikes conducted by aircrafts of the Air Component Operation Hadarin Daji, in the early hours of Saturday, 20 November 2021, at Dangwandi and Tsakai area of Isa LGA of Sokoto State have led to the deaths of undisclosed number of bandits. Reports obtained from reliable sources revealed that the precision air strikes resulted in the likely elimination and destruction of key bandits leaders, their foot soldiers as well as their properties.

“Specifically, there are strong indications that the locations of bandit kingpin Bello Guda Turji, his subordinate commander Bello Buzu along and their cohorts operating within Sokoto and some parts of Zamfara State may have been struck by NAF aircraft in the strikes carried out earlier today. Local sources have also confirmed that bodies of neutralized bandits were seen all over the camps just as the bandits’ means of economic sustenance were destroyed.
