Nigeria: Troops Foil Attack, Kill 5 Terrorists in Kaduna State

The Kaduna State government says Armed Forces of Nigeria troops have foiled an attack and killed five terrorists in Kwanan Bataro, Giwa Local Government Area (LGA) of the State.

The State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the killings on Monday in a statement.

Sources said that troops were conducting clearance patrols in Giwa LGA when it received credible intelligence of terrorists’ movement towards Fatika town.

The troops were positioning for them and when the terrorists were sighted, they attempted to escape the advancing forces but were shot at, killing the five.
