AFCON: CBN, CACOVID Visit Super Eagles, Pledge $20,000 Per Goal Scored

Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has informed the Super Eagles of total support from the Federal Government and the Private sector backed CACOVID as the team continues its quest for a fourth AFCON Title at the ongoing Africa cup of Nations championship in Cameroon.

Emefiele who was in Cameroon with some top executives of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF,) joined other well-meaning Nigerians and football fans in lauding the convincing performance of the Eagles at the tournament so far.

The Apex Bank Governor, revealed that the team will get $20,000 per goal scored at the tournament.

Responding, super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa thanked the Governor on behalf of the team for the visit and promised that the players will continue to give in their best in their quest to bring back the trophy home.

Musa also requested for more support from Nigeria and Nigerians as it will spur the team to more victories.
