Nigeria’s New COVID-19 Infections Declines to 75 With 1 Death, 646 Recoveries

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Thursday morning said Nigeria’s new COVID-19 infections has declines to 75 with 646 new recoveries on Wednesday.

The new figures brought the tally of recoveries in Nigeria to 228,137 and confirmed cases to 252,753 . And the country also has a total of 21,479 active cases.

The NCDC said via its website that one person died from the COVID-19 complications on Wednesday, thereby bringing the total of the country’s fatality toll to 3,134.

The new COVID-19 figure of 75 cases represent a significant decline from 250 cases reported on Tuesday.

The health agency said that the 75 additional cases of COVID-19 were recorded in eight States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with Lagos State registering 33 new infections, Gombe had 13, and FCT had 11 cases.

Osun State accounted for eight of the infected, Edo and Rivers reported three cases each, Plateau had two, Kaduna and Kano reported one case each.

Altogether, a total of 4,055,877 persons have been tested of the virus.
