Just Friends Club of Nigeria, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) on Tuesday held a career talk with students of Government Secondary School, Life Camp, Abuja.
The organisation, a non-profit sociocultural and philanthropic association, organized the career as part f their goals of adding value to the society through the enlightenment of the students on the opportunities available for them if they chose a particular line of career.
During the session, members of the club who were the Resource Persons spoke to the students on prospects in Business Entrepreneurship, Accountancy, Law, Engineering and Information Communication Technology (ICT).
But it was not all serious career talks as the students, who were thrilled with the event, entertained the Club members and other participants with songs and dances.
At the end, tributes were paid to the Clun members by the Schools Education Board, staff and management of the school and the students.
Apart from this career talk, the Club has been conducting other philanthropic endeavours as part of its core mandate of providing social interventions to the vulnerable and less privileged members of the public especially during the Yuletide season.
They include visiting the Mother Teresa Children’s Home, Gwarinpa, Abuja and Children’s Home, Karu, Abuja where they donated food items and toiletries.
