Nigeria: ‘Over 50’ Corpses From Terrorists’ Invasion Of Kanam LGA, Plateau State Get Mass Burial

Over 50 dead bodies have been recovered in four villages of Kanam Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State after terrorists invaded and unleashed killings and violence on Sunday.

The villages raided by the terror gangs include Kukawa, Gyanbahu, Dungur and Keram where they also burnt over 100 houses.

Spokesperson of the Plateau State Police Command, ASP Ubah Gabriel, who confirmed the attacks, said: “The Command is aware of the attack. Policemen have been drafted to the area.

“I am yet to get detailed information about the number of those killed and houses burnt. I will update the press as soon as I get it.”

However, Adam Musa, a resident of Kukawa, stated that 24 corpses were recovered in Kukawa, 15 in Gyanbahu, 8 in Dungur and 4 in Keram villages.

He added that those who sustained injuries were referred to different hospitals, including Dangi General Hospital in Kanam LGA of the State for treatment.

Musa added that as soon as all the bodies are recovered, they would be given mass burial.

He, however, said security personnel had already been deployed in the affected areas.
