- The transfer remains subject to the Club finalising terms with the player
Manchester City have completed the blockbuster signing of striker Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
The reigning Premier League champions have reportedly triggered the 21-year-old’s £63million release clause to bring him to the Etihad this summer.
Haaland was afforded time off by Dortmund on Monday and the 21-year-old was understood to have undergone medical tests in Brussels.
Sportsmail understands a deal between City and Haaland’s camp was completed last week, with the Norway international expected to earn around £400,000 a week.
Having scored 85 goals in 88 appearances, Haaland will bid farewell to the Dortmund supporters after their final Bundesliga game of the season against Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
According to a tweet from Manchester City, “Manchester City can confirm that we have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the Club on 1st July 2022.
“The transfer remains subject to the Club finalising terms with the player.”
