Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s town, Isuofia, in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State is currently in a mourning mood as the Lawmaker representing Aguata 2 Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Okey Okoye, has been beheaded.
Hon. Okoye was kidnapped last week by yet to be identified gunmen while returning from a meeting of his village in Isuofia.
He was kidnapped together with his aide, Mr. Ulaevu Chiegboka, also from Isuofia. The fate of Mr. Chiegboka is not certain yet. But unconfirmed reports have it that he too was killed.
Okoye’s corpse was later discovered today with a decapitated head along Ojoto -Nnobi Road.
