Nigerian Singer Tems Postpones UK Performances Due to Ill Health 

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Temilade Openiyi known professionally as Tems, has announced a break from music due to ill health. 

Tems said via her verified Twitter page that because of the health issues, she would be cancelling two of her international shows in the United Kingdom.

She had on Tuesday shocked her friends and fans when she revealed of being diagnosed with reflux Laryngitis.

The ailment is known to be an irritation at the back of the throat due to acid or other chemicals which come up from the back of the stomach.

According to Tems: “Hey gang, it breaks my heart to say this but there’s no other option for me. I’m not feeling too good at the moment. After my last performance, I was diagnosed with reflux laryngitis and I have to take some time off to protect what’s left of my voice.

“All tickets are still valid, again I’m so sorry. I am so sorry for this inconvenience but I promise to be back, better than ever by the grace of God. Then I’ll give you the best show ever. Appreciate you all for understanding, you mean the world to me. Love you, yours truly, Tems.”
