VP Osinbajo Checks Into Undisclosed Hospital For Surgery

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday announced that he has been admitted to a hospital where he is to undergo a surgical procedure for a leg injury.

But Osinbajo did not disclose the hospital or its location.

According to the Vice President, “I have been admitted today at the hospital for a surgical procedure on account of a recurrent pain in the leg possibly sustained from an injury sustained while playing squash.”

Confirming the incident via his verified Twitter handle, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Vice President Laolu Akande said doctors would give more details concerning the incident later.

“VP Osinbajo is in the hospital today for a surgical procedure on account of a recurrent pain in the leg possibly sustained from an injury while playing squash. His doctors would give an update of the treatment later today.”

Earlier today, Osinbajo had wished his wife a happy birthday as she clocked 55 years. “Happy birthday my darling @dolapoosinbajo ,as your days so shall your strength, joy, wisdom and favour with God in Jesus’ name,” he wrote on his Instagram page.
