2023 Election: Peter Obi, Obasanjo Meet Again In Abeokuta, Ogun State

The Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Monday met again with former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, at his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria.

This is the second time Obi is meeting with Obasanjo in Abeokuta in the last two months.

The Abeokuta meeting came barely 24 hours after Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, visited former military President, Ibrahim Babangida and former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, at their homes in Minna, capital of Niger State.

In July, Obi alongside Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party (LP) National Chairman, Julius Abure, and the Senior Pastor, Trinity House Church, Ituah Ighodalo, visited Obasanjo at his penthouse residence located within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta.

The LP candidate via his Twitter handle disclosed his visit to Obasanjo which he hinged on the matter of national interest. “I deeply appreciate the opportunity to hold extensive discussions with President Olusegun Obasanjo earlier today on arising national interest matters. As usual, the exchanges were forthright and animated. -PO,” he twitted.
