Remaining 23 Abuja-Kaduna Train Captives Freed

The remaining 23 passengers of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack of March 28, 2022 have been freed.

They were abducted following the Boko Haram attack on the train on the Kaduna bound train.

Sources confirmed that they were freed through the efforts of the seven-man Presidential Committee assembled by Chieif of defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor.

Secretary of the Chief of Defence Staff Action Committee (CDSAC), Professor Usman Yusuf, the 23 captives were released “at 1600Hrs (4.00pm) today, Wednesday 5-10-2022.”

They are already at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Hospital where they are undegoing medical examinations.
