Buhari Votes In Daura, Displays Ballot Paper To Clear Doubts On Support For APC As Tinubu Votes In Lagos, Boasts Of Victory

President Muhammadu Buhari has voted for his preferred candidate in the 2023 presidential and National Assembly elections.

Before casting his vote in the boxes on Saturday, Buhari displayed his ballot paper to show he voted for the candidate of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

There have been allegations that Buhari and some persons in the seat of power are not in support of Tinubu’s candidacy. Many believe the shortage of cash caused by the president’s redesign of some bank notes close to the electoral period would work against the party’s fortune at the polls.

Like her husband, Aisha Buhari also cast her vote at Polling Unit 003 at Sarkin Yara ‘A’ in Daura, Katsina State.

Buhari told journalists after casting his vote that the APC will emerge victorious at the end of the polls.

Tinubu voted at Ward 3, Polling Unit 85, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, around 10:20am.

The former Governor of the State arrived at the polling unit alongside his wife, Oluremi Tinubu.

Tinubu, who noted that the election is unique, said he was confident he would win the poll.

The INEC Officials had earlier announced 324 as total number of registered vvotersat the polling unit.

They added that voting excercise would close at 2.30pm.
