Obi Shuts Out Governor Soludo, Others in Anambra Presidential Election, Wins All 21 LGAs, Triumphs In Ebonyi State

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Mr Peter Obi, has silenced the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo, Professor Obiora Okonkwo, Andy Uba and others in Anambra State, winning all the Local Government Areas (LGAs) of his home State.

Labour Party won overwhelmingly in Aguata Local Government Area, the home LGA of Governor Charles soludo.

The Labour Party scored 37,478 in Aguata LGA, while APGA got 712 out of total 40,387 votes cast.

Soludo is a strong critic of Obi’s Presidential ambition, boasting in a letter last year that the LP candidate did not stand a chance of winning the election.

Labour Party in the election conducted last Saturday defeated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) to which Soludo belongs, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state by a wide margin.

None of the party was able to get up to 10,000 votes in the election.

Declaring the results of the poll, the collation officer in the state, Prof. Nnenna Oti, said Obi scored 584,621 votes.

The PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, scored 9,036 votes while Prof Peter Umeadi of APGA got 7,388 votes.

And in Ebonyi State, the results as announced at the Ebonyi Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) in Abakaliki, the capital of the State on Tuesday declared Peter Obi as the winner.

The APC candidate, Tinubu came second while the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, placed third.

The Collation Officer for Ebonyi State, Prof Charles Igwe, who is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria (UNN) announced the final results.

He said Obi garnered 259738 while Tinubu got 42402 votes and Atiku scored 13503 votes.
