Children’s Day: Destiny Fulfilling Prayer Ministry Brings Smiles On Children in Ubeji-Warri, Delta State

Destiny Fulfilling Prayer Ministry on Saturday played host to children as part of the activities to mark this year’s Children’s Day celebrations.

And the the appreciative children from the church and the surrounding areas of Ubeji-Warri area of Delta State showed up in their numbers to enjoy the special day.

Addressing them, the senior Pastor of the church, Toju Ogidigben, said: “We try to make this day special for all the children.”

Ogidigben added that this had become a tradition and culture for the Ministry as they hosted this event annually. 

A jumping castle and hula hoops were among the fun activities that the children enjoyed.

Children’s Day, also called Universal Children’s Day, is a commemorative date celebrated annually in honor of children, whose date of observance varies by country.

In 1925, International Children’s Day was first proclaimed in Geneva during the World Conference on Child Welfare.

In Nigeria, Children’s Day is celebrated nationwide on May 27 yearly and is aimed to highlight the progress being made towards the realisation and promotion of children’s right.
