Abuja Court Orders Halt To NLC, TUC Planned Strike Over Fuel Subsidy, Adjourns To June 19

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted an interim order restraining the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) from going on strike from Wednesday as planned.

The planned strike, the Judge ordered should wait until the determination of the motion on notice before the court.

Justice O. Y. Anuwe issued the order on Monday and adjourned further hearing till June 19, 2023, obviously putting a halt on the planned strike.

The case brought by the federal government and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice against NLC and TUC SUIT NO: NICN/ABJ/158/2023 dated June 5, 2023.
