Nigerian Air Force Female Master Warrant Officer Commits Suicide 

A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) female Master Warrant Officer (MWO) George, who was serving  at 651 Base Services Group, Lagos State has been found dead in an apparent suicide.

MWO George was reported to have committed suicide inside her room at Block T5 Flat 8 in Sam Ethnan Air Force Base Ikeja, Lagos at about 1400hrs on 10 Jun 23.

She was reportedly found hanging in her room.

Sources confirmed that she was found unresponsive at her residence and she was pronounced dead by 3 Air Provosts who came with another team of personnel to evacuate the body to the 661 Nigerian Air Force Hospital.

Sources explained that the cause of her action is not known, but that an investigation is going on to ascertain the reason for her death.

Another source noted that “the NAF MWO may have fallen victim to depression. Most people are going through issues and when it is not treated or shared with a concerned, a person can snap. But the investigations may unravel exactly what happened that may have led to suicide, in her own room.”
