Lady Beaten To Death In Nightclub And Body Thrown Inside Abandoned Swimming Pool At Cosmila Hotel, Awka, Anambra State

The body of a young lady has been found found dead at the abandoned swimming pool of Cosmila Hotel Awka, Anambra State.

The late lady was identified as Miss Chinyere Awuda, a native of Nnobi, Idemmili South Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra State.

Sources said that the young lady was a clubber at Club Mila, a nightclub reportedly owned by Cosmila Hotels in Awka, Anambra State, when one Mr. Gabriel Chinemere and his friends who were also fellow clubbers started beating her.

This was on Saturday night.

Though the reasons for beating the young Miss Awuda was never disclosed, other clubbers tried to stop the beating and molestation to no avail.

According to a source: “Nobody knows why they were beating her and they didn’t state any but continued beating and molesting her despite the interventions of fellow clubbers. This was on Saturday night. And this was happening in the presence of the presence of the Club manager, one Steven Junior, who allegedly asked the Club Security Guards and bouncers to stand down and instead turn off the lights while the girl was being beaten and dragged outside the club. Her lifeless body was later dumped into the abandoned swimming pool belonging to the Cosmila Hotel where it was found.

“The family of Miss. Chinyere Awuda, upon receiving the terrible news, went to the Cosmila Hotel only to find the lifeless body of their daughter at the abandoned swimming pool. The incident had since been reported to the Anambra State Police Command for further investigations and recovery of Miss Chinyere’s lifeless body.

When contacted, the Anambra State Police Spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident and said the suspect was already in Police custody while the case is being investigated.”
