Niger Republic Troops Intercept Boko Haram Terrorists Fleeing Nigeria, Kill One, Recover Arms, N11m Cash

In a daring raid, Niger Republic troops ambushed Boko Haram militants attempting to flee the Nigerian border town of Gabti in Mobbar Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State into Niger Republic.

The operation was a resounding success, with one terrorist killed and weapons and cash seized.

According to DefenceTimesNG1, “the troops recovered two AK-47 rifles, hand grenades and ammunition, as well as over 11 million naira in cash.

“They also rescued 11 Nigerian citizens who had been held hostage by the terrorists.”
