Group Donates Food Items, Cash Gifts To Over 100 Women In Warri

As part of this year Christmas celebration beleaguered by high inflation and rising food prices across the country, chairperson and founder of “We Care Women” for Sheriff and Senior Special Assistant on Women Mobilization to Governor of Delta State, Mrs Marian Chetuya Ofili distributed foodstuffs and cash gifts in Iva Josh Hotel Osubi Warri with the aim of putting beautiful smiles on the faces of women and their families.

The “We Care Women” for Sheriff is a pressure group in support of Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State.

Mrs. Ofili said she targeted more women as part of the efforts to enable them celebrate the season with joy and happiness.

During the event, women took part in various games and activities as part of the yuletide fun.

Said Mrs. Ofili: “Christmas is a time for giving, and as women, we have the power to make positive impact in the lives of others, whether through community service, charitable initiatives, or simply offering a kind word to those in need.

“Let this Christmas be a time of connection, where the young and old come together to create a legacy of strength and resilience.

“As we gather with family and friends to celebrate the birth of Christ, let us not forget that our dear state need us. We are blessed to be Deltans, I appeal that we support Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State for the development of our State.”
