Nigerian Air Force (NAF) strikes struck a logistics base of the terror group, Boko Haram/ISWAP, killing scores of terrorists in a hideout in Parisu on the fringes of the Sambisa Forest in Borno.

It was gathered  that a precision-guided airstrike coordinated by the Air Component and the ground troops of Operation HADIN KAI on December 5,  has reportedly resulted in the killing of very large numbers of ISWAP fighters.

The NAF aircraft engaged the location in multiple passes, recording accurate hits on the logistics and large fuel dump of the terrorists which triggered a massive explosion.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was executed after a series of Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions led to the identification of the terrorists’ hideouts.

The sources said that “the movement of the terrorists were trailed to the location of the terrorists hiding under thick shrubs.

“The aftermath of the airstrike revealed that the structure’s housing the terrorist and the logistics were destroyed while the few surviving terrorists, who were seen attempting to flee the area, were taken out by follow on attacks,” he said.
