Iran has launched a wave of drone strikes toward Israel, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
The IDF said in a Telegram post that Iran launched the drones from its country “a short while ago.”
It is the first time Iran launched an attack from its soil against Israel. It’s unclear what the targets are.
U.S. officials are concerned an Israeli retaliation against Iran will lead to another regional escalation.
The Biden administration has vowed to help Israel counter the Iranian attack.
