Insecurity: Archbishop, Wife, Son, 3 Other Clerics Of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star Kidnapped On Their Way To Awka, Anambra State

Archbishop Uka Uka Osim of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS), his wife, Anne Osim and son, Roland Uka Osim, have been kidnapped.

They were abducted alongside three other clergymen of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star while travelling from Abia State on May 1, 2024.

The three other clerics of the church include Azuka Ochu, Moses Okafor and Anderson Akwazie.

They were travelling to Awka, capital of Anambra State, on evangelical duties, from Abia State when armed men accosted and abducted them.

Confirming their abduction, the Administrator of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star spiritual organisation in Abia State, Bishop Denis Onuoha, said that four days after, the abductors have not reached out to anybody.

According to him: “We are very worried but we are assured that the Almighty Father who they worship and work for with total devotion will help them out.”

While calling on the nation’s security agencies to step in and rescue the clergymen, Bishop Onuoha said they are deep in prayers believing that the Archbishop and his brethren will be rescued unhurt.

Police authorities in both Anambra and Abia States are yet to react to the incident.
