Despite ‘Don’t Invest in Lagos’ Campaign, Obi Cubana Launches Tricycle Assembly Plant in Ikorodu, Lagos State

  • Says “business decisions aren’t driven by emotions.”

Despite the ‘Don’t Invest in Lagos’ campaign by those piqued by the anti-Igbo posture of some political leaders and their hirelings in Lagos, famous Nigerian businessman, Obinna Iyiegbu, alias Obi Cubana has unveiled a Tricycle Assembly Automobile Company producing “Keke” in the Ikorodu, Lagos State.

At the event, Obi Cubana reacted to critics on why he did not set up the assembly plant in any of the Igbo speaking States of Nigeria where he came from, stating that “business decisions aren’t driven by emotions, but by strategy and what works.

“If setting up the plant in Ikorodu, Lagos will make it thrive and create jobs, then why not? Maybe with time, the business can expand to other locations, based on proven success and consolidation.

“Don’t let ethnicity or the fear of what people will say dictate your business decisions. Make informed, strategic choices with the big picture in mind. Remember, when your business fails, opinions won’t save it.”

He also hinted on his plan to venture into Solar Energy business which according to him is almost ready “Solar energy in a bit.”
