News From Abroad: Derby Village Carnival 2024 Colours The Streets in UK

One of Derby’s carnival brought together fun fair over the weekend with a splash of colour to the streets in United Kingdom (UK).

The event has always been held on the third weekend of July and is organised each year by the Derby West Indian Community Association (DWICA).

The procession, made up of brightly dressed members of the community, showcased colourful outfits in great numbers.

After a few more twists and turns through the city’s streets, troupes arrived at a designated Park where there were a host of activities, competitions and entertainment to keep the crowd entertained throughout the evening.

A variety of colours in arts and crafts stalls was set up at the park, alongside a beer tent and a fun fair.
