Troops Raid Lakurawas Bandit Camps, Destroy Hideouts in Zamfara

Troops of 8 Division, Nigerian Army, under Operation Hadarin Daji, have conducted a major clearance operation against the Lakurawas bandit faction, raiding and destroying multiple hideouts in Zamfara State.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama on Tuesday that the operation, which took place on March 10, 2025, was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle bandit networks and restore security in the region.

According to the sources, the troops from the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Massallaci launched the clearance operation at 1500 hours, advancing into key bandit enclaves.

The troops liberated Lilingo village after a swift offensive. During the operation, soldiers discovered an abandoned terrorist camp. The camp was searched thoroughly and destroyed to prevent its future use by insurgents.

Additional locations cleared and secured include Goboro, Zurmuku, and Bauni villages. The terrorists fled the camps on sighting the advancing troops, leaving their footprints.

Military sources confirmed that Operation Decisive Clearance remains ongoing, with troops maintaining momentum to eliminate terrorist Leaders and annihilate their strongholds across Zamfara and neighboring States.
