President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria from his trips to Saint Lucia and Brazil.
The Presidential aircraft touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 2 am Sunday, Nigeria time, after departing Galeão International Airport at 12:50 pm (local time).
On ground to receive the President back to Nigeria were top government officials.
On June 28, 2025, Tinubu left Nigeria and arrived Saint Lucia for an eight-day state visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic, cultural, and economic ties between Nigeria and the Caribbean country.
On Friday July 4, 2025, President Tinubu left Saint Lucia and arrived Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to participate in the 17th Summit of Heads of State and Government for the Global South and Emerging Economic Bloc, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS).
The BRICS summit was held between Saturday, July 5 to Monday, July 7.
Already, there were speculations on the whereabouts of the President with Paul Ibe, a Media Aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, on Saturday raising issues with The Presidency’s silence on President Tinubu’s since the BRICS 2025 summit he attended in Rio de Janiero in Brazil ended days ago.
