TCN Restores Power on Shiroro–Mando 330kV Line II

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on Tuesday announced that it has successfully restored bulk power transmission on the Shiroro–Mando 330kV Line II.

The bulk power transmission was fully restored at 11:56am on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

TCN General Manager (Public Afairs), Ndidi Mbah, said in a statement that the restoration process was “delayed due to security challenges along the line route, which temporarily restricted safe access to the fault site.”

According to the statement, “the line had tripped on Friday, November 28, 2025, at approximately 8:34 am.

“Consequently, the TCN line patrol team traced the cause of the tripping to a detached conductor on Tower T39, which was successfully repaired and the conductor restored to service.

“The restoration process was, delayed due to security challenges along the line route, which temporarily restricted safe access to the fault site.

“TCN sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused to electricity consumers affected by the outage and appreciates the understanding and patience of all stakeholders while the fault lasts.”
