Iran Says Attacks On U.S. Bases To Continue Until ‘Ultimate Victory,’ Trump Says U.S. Will Strike Iranian Bridges, Power Plants ‘Next Week’

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) will continue to carry out strikes on US military bases “until ultimate victory,” the IRNA news agency reported, citing the IRGC press service.

According to the media outlet, the IRGC has launched six drone attacks on US bases in the Middle East since Washington violated the ceasefire.

Earlier, the Iranian military targeted the Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan.

This is just as President Donald Trump has said the U.S. military will change the target of its strikes to civilian infrastructure next week – if Iran doesn’t want to negotiate.

Speaking in an interview with Fox News aired last night, the US president said he would “save the energy targets for last” but warned Iranian bridges and power plants would be attacked.

Trump said: “We’re going to hit them very hard tonight, we’re going to hit them very hard tomorrow night, we’re going to hit them very hard the night after.

“And then next week it gets really bad for them, because next week comes the power plants, next week comes the bridges.

“We’re going to knock out all their power plants, we’re going to knock out all their bridges, unless they get to the table and negotiate.”

Asked if Iran was serious about making a deal, Trump said: “I think they have no choice.”

Since military strikes on Iran resumed last week, US Central Command has said in all its reports the focus of its attacks has been military sites and Iranian coastal areas.

International humanitarian and aid organisations have previously said any attacks on civilian infrastructure in Iran would represent a war crime.
