Cameroon arrests 5 Policemen over torture video of Anglophone Ambazonian separatists

Cameroon has arrested five Policemen on suspicion of torture after a video was made public showing them torturing detainees.

The five Police officers were taken into custody and appeared before a judge over the alleged torture, which took place in the capital, Yaounde.

In the viral video, Cameroon Police forces were seen torturing suspects alleged to be from the secessionists Anglophone Ambazonian region with large cutlasses during interrogation.

The interrogation allegedly took place on September 15/16, 2021.

Already, the Minister delegate has accepted responsibility for the actions of the five Policemen.
