Soludo’s Former Media Aide, Joe Anatune, Dies Of Cardiac Arrest

Mr Joe Anatune, leader of the media team during last year’s election of Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, is dead. He died of cardiac arrest.

Anatune reportedly died on Saturday, few days after his 62nd birthday, and a little over a week after he was given appointment as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency.

The appointment by Governor Soludo took effect on April 19, 2022.

Soludo, in confirming the death of Anatune, expressed shock and disbelief over the news.

Mr Christian Aburime, Chief Press Secretary to Soludo, said in a statement that the Governor received the news of Mr Joe Anatune’s sudden death with deep pains and shock.

According to the statement: “Soludo described Joe Anatune as one of the foremost Apostles of the Soludo project with an uncommon strength and courage to deliver on any given assignment.

“He stated further that Joe’s personal sacrifices during his electioneering campaign were not only exceptional but highly commendable.

“He spearheaded the Soludo Promoters Forum (SPF) and for two years used the platform to engage the professionals into mainstream politics. The government and the good people of Anambra State will sorely miss Joe Anatune.”

He added that “Governor Soludo has since commiserated with Anatune’s wife, Mrs Ify Anatune and children, the Anatune family and Awa community over the sudden loss of their illustrious son.”
