Now that IPOB has made it clear that it has abolished every-Monday Sit-at-home, [save for days that MNK is to be arraigned in court] it’s time to delegitimize the activities of HOODLUMS masquerading under the cover of either ESN, IPOB or UGM, otherwise known as Unknown Gun Men.
We can do these by deescalating the sharing, on our different social media handles, of the staccato of fear-inducing WhatsApp VOICE NOTES and/or VIDEOS of the HEARTLESS ATTACKS and MAIMING of innocent Igbo brothers and sisters they upload daily in disguise on the internet in the name of agitation for self-determination for Ndigbo of Southeast Nigeria.
At the moment, many are persuaded that the elements behind the continued spate of killings in the Southeast, and Anambra state in particular, are not genuine ESN members; nor associated to the IPOB struggle. They are likely CRIMINAL ELEMENTS taking undue advantage of the opening created by the unfortunate introduction of ESN as part of the genuine struggle for Biafra’s actualization by IPOB.
In fact, I suspect that looking back, genuine drivers of the IPOB struggle would be regretting the introduction of that arm of the struggle that has now availed HOODLUMS the cover to turn Alaigbo into a theater of BLOODBATHE and the absurd – a development that is gravely threatening the popularity of IPOB; and, by extension, the sustenance of the entire agitation.
In essence, we mustn’t continue to pamper or mistake CRIMINAL ELEMENTS for ESN/IPOB members. Now is the time to support the well-streamlined initiative by the Anambra State Governor, Charlie Nwamgbafor, to arrest the absurdity and restore normalcy to Anambra state, and by extension, the entire Southeast region.
Only under such atmosphere will attaining his vision and goal of building a livable and prosperous Anambra remain effectively on course.Umu Igbo, let’s go to work; what is retarding our progress as a people is not within but without.
Hence, ALL hands must be on deck to reverse the negative trend and impact of the ongoing ‘madness’ on our collective welfare and psyche.
The current trend does NOT represent who we are; Ndigbo have respect for HUMAN lives and values.
