Nigerian Press Council Congratulates Editors On Successful Convention

The Nigerian Press Council (NPC) has commended the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) for a “peaceful and highly successful” 2025 Biennial Convention which ended in Enugu, the Enugu State Capital .

In a Press Statement, the Executive Secretary of the Council, Dr. Dili Ezughah, also congratulated Mr. Eze Anaba on his re-election as President of the Guild, describing it as an eloquent testimony of his leadership qualities and meritorious services in the past two years.

In a statement by Dan Ede, Director, Research and Documentation of the NPC, Dr. Ezughah equally congratulated other elected officials of the Guild, wishing them a successful tenure, while urging a closer cooperation between the Nigerian Guild of Editors and the Nigerian Press Council for the good of the noble journalism profession.

He remarked that ethical compliance remains the key to journalistic integrity and public trust, reiterating the readiness of the Council to promote and maintain the highest professional standards for the Nigerian Press.
