Iran has seemingly responded to Donald Trump’s threats that “hell” will rain down on the country if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened by Monday.
In comments carried by Iranian state media, an Iranian spokesperson for the country’s highest operational command said: “Do not forget that if aggression expands, the entire region will turn into a hell for you.
“The illusion of defeating the Islamic Republic of Iran has turned into a swamp in which you will sink.”
This is just as two power and water desalination plants have been struck in Kuwait by Iranian drones.
“This resulted in significant material damage and the shutdown of two power generation units,” the Ministry of Electricity, Water & Renewable Energy said in a statement posted on X.
No one was injured.
“Technical teams are working around the clock to ensure the continuity of services,” the statement added.
